LoveStoned Jewelry Co. to Donate 10% of Proceeds to NAMI

July is Bebe Moore Campbell Minority Mental Health Month — a time to raise awareness, amplify voices, and advocate for accessible mental health care for BIPOC communities.

Ms. Campbell revolutionized how we address mental health in underserved communities, drawing from her firsthand experience with loved ones living with mental illness. Her 2005 novel "72 Hour Hold" was loosely based on her challenges with her daughter, actress Maia Campbell, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in in 1998.

Ms. Campbell co-founded the Urban Los Angeles chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and July was declared Bebe Moore Campbell Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in 2008.

In honor of Minority Mental Health Month and in memory of the trailblazing author, I am happy to announce that, going forward, 10% of all of LoveStoned Jewelry Co.'s monthly proceeds will go to NAMI, the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization.

It has been on my heart to donate to causes that are important to me for a while now and, with so many people struggling, I felt called to finally put my money where my mouth is. Mental health has been at the heart of LoveStoned Jewelry Co. from day one as I've navigated my own struggles with anxiety and depression.

I currently sell through multiple channels, so at the end of each month I will tally up my total proceeds and donate 10% of that final amount.

It is my sincerest hope that these donations will help those who are facing mental health challenges get the support they need. I will provide regular updates as I get the ball rolling, but please feel free to reach out with any questions.

xo,
